A while ago, there was a published research study on species diversity in the island biomes. That research title came to mind when, just a couple of weeks ago, I opened a thick glass door into Rijksmuseum Research Library.
Oh, what a place. Our beloved research libraries exist as island “biomes” in the modernized environments and IoT.
While in high school, a professional choreographer taught us Csárdás — Hungarian folk dance. I thought that the footwork and rhythm of Csárdás represented pinnacles of complexity. Recently, I was lucky to observe the Basque folk dance rehearsal in southwestern France. The group is preparing for the annual village festival. Repeating the moves was not a simple task and seemed just as elaborate as Basque language.
